Brød Danish Bakery opened in 2015, located the heart of one of Cardiff’s most popular residential areas (Canton/Pontcanna). In 2022 the bakery operation moved to a brand new, purpose built Bakery just off Newport Road in Cardiff, while our coffee shops can be found in Pontcanna, Penarth, and from Spring 2024, in Cardiff Bay too. We also offer a take-away service from the Bakery’s own Hatch.

We’re a friendly, yet ambitions business, offering great opportunities for people to develop their skills and experiences either as part of our Bakery team, or in a myriad of front of house roles in our coffee shops.

FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT/BARISTA, Part-time, Pontcanna

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Barista/Front of House Team member at our Pontcanna premises. If you’re good with people, are able to make great coffee and have a commitment to excellent customer service, then you sound like just the sort of person we’re looking for. Overview:
Part-time/daytime hours between 8.30am - 4.30pm 
Hourly Pay:  £11.45 per hour (over 21 years old), £8.60 (age 18-20)

BAKER/SUPERVISOR
We have an opportunity for an experienced baker to join the team. The post holder will be responsible for the production of all breads and pastries, in line with our reputation for high quality Scandinavian artisan products. The Baker will also be responsible for managing the Bakery staff rotas, developing new product ranges, monitoring quality control at every stage and ensuring that all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards are being met and complied with at all times.

The package:
Pay: £12.50 - £14 per hour
Full time or part time (includes weekend work)
2 consecutive days off every week

Monthly fixed rota (40 hours per week)
Working hours between 0100 and 1400
